The Wilton Police Department announced that on Monday, Gaston "Alex" Acosta-Rua surrendered to officers on an arrest warrant that was issued by the Stamford Superior Court for two felony counts of sexual assault.
Police said that Acosta-Rua, 18, a Wilton resident, was processed and released on a $50,000 bond.
The arrest came following an investigation into the sexual assault of a minor in March. He stands charged with two counts of second-degree sexual assault and reckless endangerment.
Acosta-Rua is due back in court on Aug. 10 to answer the charges.
